Local Leader of Education
Local leaders of education (LLEs) have made and continue to make a significant contribution to supporting schools in their local area. LLEs provide a range of school-to-school support and coaching and mentoring for head teachers.
The National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) no longer designate LLEs, and instead gave teaching schools the freedom to recruit and designate school leaders in this role as they already do with specialist leaders of education (SLEs).
To receive Support from a LLE please complete the contact form, your information will then be passed to one of our LLE’s to contact you. It cost £450 to receive support from a LLE for a full day, £225 for half a day.
Local Leaders of education are headteachers with at least 3 year experience of headship and expecting to remain at the current schools for two years after designation. Be able to commit to a minimum of 5 days per year of LLE deployment. Have sufficient experience of providing support as a coach or mentor to another headteacher or senior member of staff. The next application round opens 1st May 2018 and closes 31st May 2018.
